Spain: People died in a bus that fell into a river


 


An accident in the city of Spain killed two people after a bus fell into a river while crossing a bridge in the northeastern region of Galicia, Spain, according to emergency workers.


   The accident happened last night near the city of Vigo, not far from the Portuguese border.  Regional newspaper La Voz de Galicia said the bus was carrying people visiting relatives in Monterroso prison in central Galicia.


   The emergency said that two dead people were pulled out of the river, while two people, including the bus driver, were rescued and are being treated in a hospital.


   The emergency services posted a message on Twitter saying that there may be many people riding the bus, and they showed the photo of the overturned bus passing through the river.


   Three people are missing according to Spanish media, although the news has not yet been confirmed by government officials
